We are looking for a detail oriented and experienced Project Manager to join our growing Brisbane team. The Project Manager plays a crucial role, facilitating the project lifecycle from concept/designs through to the successful delivery of both camp accommodation and facilities. To be successful, you will understand that each project is unique, and you will be committed to putting client relationships first and delivering quality outcomes that suit their operations.
About the role
Project Management
· Conduct project commencement processes including facilitating the estimating handover, file and budget establishment, and executing pre-condition contractual requirements
· Establish, maintain and execute a program of works
· Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
· Deliver the project on time, within budget, ensuring the end product is of high quality and usability
Commercial Management
· Ensure the procurement schedule is maintained within project program and letting schedule
· Oversee the preparation and processing of claims, including variation payments
· Conduct ongoing financial assessment of the performance of the project
Leadership
About you
· Possess Tertiary qualifications in Urban Development/Construction Management or similar (may be demonstrated through 5+ years practical project management experience);
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, preferably within the Commercial Construction industry;
· Construction Industry Blue or White Card ;
· Current Driver’s License;
· Capability to manage the entire design process, including developing performance briefs, room data sheets and concept design through to construction documents;
· A proven track record for completing quality projects on time and to budget, while maintaining a positive, safe and productive attitude;
· A high degree of commercial acumen and customer focus;
· Advanced level knowledge of computerised job costing or project management software such as Jobpac;
· Working knowledge of WHS requirements and risks;
· Trade qualification or experience desirable but not essential; and
· Experience in estimating and tender submission is highly desirable.
