Broadsound Camp Rules

General Camp Rules

During your stay with us, to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, you are required to abide by all Camp Rules. Please take your time to have a read and understand these.

Breaches of camp rules may result in notification to your employer. Serious or continued breaches of camp rules may result in withdrawal of accommodation entitlement and removal from site at Anaman’s discretion.

1.0 General

a) Broadsound Camp is a licenced premises and as such no alcohol is to be brought into the Camp from outside sources.

b) You must ensure that your accommodation room remains secure, clean and maintained, and ablution facilities are left in a clean and hygienic condition.

c) You must observe the dress code in the Dining Hall and recreational areas – (Clean clothing  and clean boots no high visibility clothing at dinner).

d) You must not bring unauthorised visitors into the camp.

 

2.0 Unacceptable Behaviour:

You must not engage in any of the following:

a) Provocative or insulting language or offensive behaviour.

b) Causing a nuisance to others or causing disturbance.

c) Jeopardising project harmony by displaying banner, stickers, flags, or insignia relating to political parties, lobby groups, special interest groups or other associations that could give offence to others.

d) Inappropriate use, tampering and wilful damage to safety critical equipment or damage to Camp facilities and amenities.

e) Fighting and/or offensive, intimidating behaviours in any form (either imitating and/or in response to the actions of another).

f) Harassment of any kind (including – based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, colour, ancestry, age or impairment) as described by Fairwork Australia towards guests, staff or patrons of the camp.

g) Vandalism, wilful damage, misuse/abuse or interference to Company and/or personal property.

3.0 Safety:

a) You must comply with all reasonable requests pertaining to safety and comfort of onsite guests.

b) It is forbidden to possess, store or use at any location within the camp compound illegal drugs, firearms, dangerous weapons, explosives, hazardous or dangerous chemicals, any illegal items or conducting or participating in any illegal activity or act.

c) If unwell with a contagious condition, please do not enter the mess or any common areas whilst unwell.

d) You must report any injury or incident arising during your stay to the Camp Manager or supporting Camp Administrator.

 

4.0 Lockers and Luggage Storage Area:

a) You must not store valuables such as cash, jewellery, electronics, or important documents. Anaman does not accept any responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to such items.

b) You must not store any dangerous goods, hazardous chemicals, dangerous or illegal items.

c) Items not collected within [30 days] may be deemed abandoned and may be disposed of, donated, or returned to the contracting party, following reasonable notice where possible.

d) Only authorised personnel may store or collect items. Photo identification may be required when collecting stored items. Anaman reserves the right to deny access if identification cannot be verified.

AGREEMENT OF CONDITIONS

  1. I agree and understand the Broadsound Camp Terms & Conditions provided within the content of this document and shall ensure ongoing review and compliance to Camp/Site rules and Notice board publications.
  2. I acknowledge it is a requirement prior to entry and use of the gym facility and equipment that I have read and understood and shall abide by the Broadsound Gym Terms & Conditions of Use (Terms of Use). I agree and that by entering the gym I have accepted the Terms of Use.
  3. I acknowledge and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Anaman is not liable for loss, damage or theft of items stored in the lockers and luggage storage areas.
  4. I understand that parking my vehicle in the car park provided is entirely at my own risk.
  5. I agree that I will continue to make myself familiar and aware of the camp/site’s evacuation plan and muster point.

Gym Terms and Conditions

It is a condition to entry and use of the Gym located within the Anaman Broadsound Camp that you read and agree to the following terms and conditions before using Camp Gym.

1.0 Definitions

“Gym” means the use and operation of all equipment including electrical, mechanical and free weights located inside the Gym at Broadsound Camp; and “Gym Rules” means any rules or instructions displayed within the Gym or outside of but relating to the use of the Gym.

2.0 Gym

2.1 Gym Rules for the use of the gym are displayed within the Gym and on specific equipment throughout the Gym. These Gym Rules may be varied or amended without notice. You will:

a) review and familiarise yourself with these instructions each time you use any part of the Gym; and

b) only use the Gym in accordance with these instructions.

2.2. Operational hours are from 4.00am to 8:30pm daily. You agree to not access the Gym outside of these hours. Basketball court is open from 1000am to 8:30pm daily.

2.3. You acknowledge that the Gym is monitored through CCTV.

 

3.0 Health and Safety

3.1. Each time you use the Gym, you must ensure that:

a) you are in good physical condition and know of no medical or other reason why you should not exercise.

b) you do not have any physical, medical or other disability or condition which may be affected or aggravated by, or which may result in any sickness, injury or death to you as a result of: (i) active or passive exercise; or (ii) otherwise using any of the Gym.

If unsure about any of the matters set out above, you should not use the Gym until you have sought appropriate medical guidance and been given the go-ahead.

3.2. You must not enter the Gym if:

a) you have an infection, contagious illness or physical ailment, such as an open cut or sore; or

b) there is any other risk, however small, to other users of the Gym.

3.3. You agree that when using the Gym you will:

a) keep tidy and sanitise any areas, surfaces or equipment you have used;

b) always return equipment to its appropriate storage location after use, seeking guidance from staff if you are unsure;

c) remove all of your possession from the Gym when leaving; and

d) take any other action reasonably necessary to keep the Gym in a clean, tidy and safe condition, including tidying up after other Gym users if they fail to do so.

4.0 Liability and Indemnity

4.1. You assume full responsibility for, and agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Anaman Pty Ltd and all of its employees, owners, shareholders, directors, agents, independent contractors, affiliates, related bodies corporate, successors and assigns, against any claims, fines, damages, liability or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) for, any personal injury (including death), property loss, theft or damage, tortious acts or omissions, or other claim of whatever nature asserted by any other person or entity against Anaman Pty Ltd in connection with your use of the Gym.

4.2. The indemnity in clause 4.1:

a) will be reduced to the extent gross negligence of Anaman Pty Ltd or its agents contribute; and

b) is ongoing and will survive termination or expiry of these terms and conditions.
